Pre-Certification Training and Preparation Credits

Pre-Certification Training and Preparation Credits

Certification Preparation Requirements & Training

Preparation Completion Credits indicate that an individual registered for a BCI certification program has undergone formal training and preparation for a specific number of hours under BCI certified trainers/instructors/faculty. Conceptually, registrants have to accumulate a certain minimum number of these credits to get the BCI permission for taking their certification examination. Currently, except for certification programs for career-starters/entry level, BCI does not prescribe any PCC policy for its certification programs, because formal training is not a mandatory pre-requisite for them.

For all entry/fresher-level certifications – CCIP‌™, CBSA‌™, CFPA‌™, CTSA‌™ - it is mandatory for registrants to accumulate a prescribed minimum number of Preparation Completion Credits (PCCs) to become eligible for the certification assessments/examination. These PCCs have to be collected by registrants through classroom training/ Master Classes conducted by BCI Authorized Training Providers (ATPs); ICT Learning Centers or International Centers of Outsourcing Studies (ICOSS‌™), operated in select universities in many countries. The Training Heads in these centers assign PCCs to registrants and recommend BCI about permitting them for formal certification assessments. The self-study mode for entry-level certifications has yet to be permitted for activation by the BPCB. For more information or clarification on these issues, please write to us at info@bci.us.org.
